deeply latched

One of the deepest connections in humans is the relationship between parent and child. As mammals, we are designed to feed our babies their first food- which provides nourishment, protection, and security. We all have to climb over obstacles during this transition to parenthood and today’s practices aren’t always supportive of a parent’s desire to feed their baby human milk. So if your obstacle seems too high and you need help- that is why deeply latched was created. To help you overcome those obstacles to find that deep connection with your child through lactation.

Hi, I’m Ellen.

I am passionate about helping parents find their groove and get evidenced-based information and care about breastfeeding/chestfeeding. My adventure in lactation began after the birth of my daughter in 2015- feeling completely overwhelmed with challenge after challenge. As a volunteer LLL leader and peer counselor both in the hospital and outpatient settings in North Carolina and Alaska respectively, my experience has helped me become a compassionate and supportive IBCLC ready to use my knowledge and skills for you. I am the contracted IBCLC for Healthy Start Coalition in Pinellas County and a member of the Tampa Bay Birth Network. In addition to supporting families in the Tampa Bay area, I am also a provider with Pacify Health which provides 24/7 access to lactation care via Telehealth.

I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC.)

no matter your goals.

I am here to help, encourage, and cheer you on for all your success and be there to support you when you feel discouraged. Breastfeeding can bring out a rainbow of emotions- from elation to disappointment and everything in between from first latch to weaning. Deeply latched is not only a breastfeeding term, but also speaks to our deep connection to our children— to do what is best for them and for us.
